Friday. Yali to Matagalpa via Jinotega.

There´s another teacher based in Jinotega named Bonnie that MaggieJo wanted to catch up with and I wanted to meet, so yet another stop off on the way to Matagalpa. BUT now I´m here, MaggieJo is gone, and I´m waiting to start being a student of spanish for 2 weeks. Hurrah! Wow. That whistlestop tour was the best induction I´ve ever had - and I´ve been inducted by Cath!

Oh - Tower Hamlets people - Juanita (in Esteli) lived in Bow for years, and her brother lived in Hanbury Street. Knew Tower Hamlets well... also wants to talk about volunteer issues when I go back to stay in her Hostel. Small world eh - the Volunteer Centre is on Tour!

Thanks for all that - I'll finish an email now and send. It was good to see the pictures, and I'll get the dictionary out before exploring the website further! Hope all continues to go well.
Loads of love, Deidre.

Yo Rebeccaaaaaa

Good to hear you're getting the tour of Nicaragua. I can't believe someone has bettered my induction programme. I'm outraged!:-)

The bathroom facilities look quality, so I'm sure you're enjoying them. Always good to hear news of your insides!

All is calm here. Luke joined Karen, Gaya and me at Peppe's birthday drinks in Hammersmith last night. I'm pleased to report from a woman's perspective that he seemed tickety boo and everything sounds completely normal at home (if spending the entire day naked qualifies as normal, which it does in my house!).

Gaya is organising an alumni trip to the climbing wall in April, and Lucy has planned roller disco for May. I know you'll be gutted to miss that one, but I promise to take photos.

You're probably enjoying the sun there. Friday was the hottest day of the year so far here, but I woke up to snow this morning. That's global warming for you.

You'll be pleased to hear that staff have all written a letter to the MC expressing no confidence in their ability to govern. They will be given it tomorrow night at their meeting. I'm expecting fireworks, but I reckon we could take most of the in a fight!!

I'm missing you at work. Take good care of yourself mate.

Love Cx
