Just the packing

is it natural to have an urge for deep sleep when packing? Or an urge to pack things like felt tip pens and crayons? or a tin whistle? That's staying in. I don't care what anyone says.

Thank you for looking... no more until I'm somewhere interesting. Soon!

Keep the Aspidistra Flying!

Happy landings Rebs!...and we will!...the pledge is displayed above my desk...and hey look how very apt it is!...

Keep the Aspidistra Flying, first published 1936, is a grimly comic novel by George Orwell. It is set in 1930s London. The main theme is the protagonist's romantic ambition to give up money and status, and the squalid life that results. Orwell based the novel, in part, on experiences he had while researching another book about poverty, Down and Out in Paris and London.

Hola!

Well, that's the full extent of my Spanish exhausted.

I hope you've arrived safely and aren't too traumatised by a day on American Airlines. I sent you a text at 10am this morning, hoping to catch you before boarding, but I suspect I may have sent it to your Dad. Don't worry - it was entirely professional.

Anyway, all's normal here. As promised, here's my Boring News of the Day;

1. Gulcoy forgot the clocks changed and came to work an hour late. Doh!

2. We're having birthday cake for Lee this afternoon. Walnut and coffee. Yum!

Laters dude. Cath xxx
